Review on Walnut Wood Finish Garage Door Paint Kit: Achieve a Stunning Black Walnut Look! by Knate Scarpelli

It's CHIPS! Not as easy as it seems!

UPDATE: This item didn't last long. It didn't even take 1 WEEK! The first storm is over and the paint is ALREADY peeling. We figured if people didn't get too close it wouldn't be so bad. Fast forward to another storm, and more erupted. NOW it looks HORRIBLE. You will either have to repaint everything or buy another touch up kit. This is noticeably bad. The before and after photos I added were taken right after the project was completed and all the rest of the photos were taken after a few storms. Don't waste your money! First Review: We wanted to try a back door that nobody would actually use or look at before building a garage and I'm glad we did. BRIGHT! The mitten is uncomfortable, and the first application of the stain turned out to be so runny. We applied two coats to the vertical and horizontal parts. The folds on the beveled parts of the door are difficult to smooth out with a glove or a brush. In addition, you have to work quickly. We tried to work as a team. One got dirty, yelled forward!, and the second tried to smooth out the sticky spots with a brush. Yes, we failed with this method. It looks like a mess. Color: The color (at least up close) doesn't look like it does on the box or online. We wanted to try a third coat to get closer to Royal Mahogany but the stain wasn't enough. End product: Everything looks fine from afar, but up close I'd be embarrassed to show people the door. Based on reviews and our experience, this product appears to be hit or miss.
