If you get this for skiing/snowboarding, read this!

I was 22 years old when I dislocated my knee and patella and tore all three ligaments in my knee. Never been to rehab or had an MRI. 3 years later (I'm only 25) I sprained my kneecap playing tennis, but not the whole knee. Probably small tears and sprains of all ligaments. The problem this time was that I had 19 days ahead of my planned and already paid for snowboard trip to Steamboat Springs and they were being reset all season! So I took care of my knee as best as I could in those 19 days, but I couldn't afford to go to the doctor and be told there was nothing they could do anyway. I bought this bandage and the compression sleeve. The first day there was almost 2ft of powder on the mountain making it impossible to even walk down the mountain. As a person who can't resist a good day in powder, I decided to just let it go and shred it! After three days of just falling into a few feet of snow and going from the first chair to about 2 each day, my knee was sore and tender, but with a compression sleeve and this brace I was able to stand up to my knee in captivity and never miss her on any day of my trip. The only thing I missed about this brace was a little more stability but I think they have a different brace that is meant to be worn after an injury while this one is meant to prevent injury. Either way, if you read this entire review or just skip to the last sentence, these braces are worth the money.
