You have probably seen these types of lights in outdoor restaurants etc. If they went to the trouble of buying quality lights, they bought these. The sturdy construction allows it to be hung from a variety of hooks, cords, etc. Loops over each socket make the mounting of these lights even more flexible. The sockets are very weather resistant, thanks to the seal between the piston and the rubber sleeve, which very effectively prevents water ingress. The light itself is very warm (in color) creating an almost surreal atmosphere very conducive to parties etc. Our first 2 sets were destroyed when our (100 year old) tree fell on our patio and as soon as insurance reimbursed the company we bought 2 new sets. For me, buying back a product is the ultimate test of whether it is a good product. Very good.
