Fine grind for espresso Fast grind Easy to use not noisy

I have a Dr.Coffee espresso machine, not that strong. It relies on the coffee grounds being fine to build pressure. Coarse grind = too little pressure = dull espresso without foam. This espresso does its job: the espresso comes out with crema on top and tastes exactly as it should. It's not as loud as the Farberware Ninja Bullet clone I've been using to grind coffee for years, so I can finally comply with the FAA noise rules when grinding coffee (just kidding, but the moral is that it's not too loud ). It takes some work to scoop coffee from the bottom of the grind chamber (I prefer using a scoop handle to break up the grounds), but that's exactly what you get with a larger-than-average grind chamber. It is much more compact than a coffee grinder. Burr grinders, and unlike the metal disc grinder I've tried, it gives you a fine, even grind. (I shake it a bit as I grind to ensure an even consistency, but I don't know if it's necessary - I've always done it this way, so it's a habit now).

Pros
  • Coffee, tea and espresso
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
