They have a working drawstring around the waist to adjust to the waist which is a big plus. On the upper front of the shorts there are moderately deep pockets on the right and left. The material is an easy-care combination of cotton and polyester. The material feels smooth and is not at all uncomfortable to wear on the skin. My son is usually picky about his shorts and told me he likes them because they are breathable and don't restrict his movement at all while walking. s running, being active or whatever. They can be machine washed inside out on a cold cycle and should be tumble dried on a low setting. They hold up well, don't roll, don't fade, and don't noticeably shrink. They are well made with no seams or loose threads. The shorts I find are best for medium temperatures and not hot as they are thicker. I recommend! because they are thicker.
