Very good hand lamp. I use it to check for fluorescent stones when checking out a group of stones to make jewelry. Also for finding insects in amber under the microscope. I have a small black light, but it often gets lost in the Maham of the Fossil digs. This is large and easy to spot. The presence of black light is very useful for identifying rocks, gems and fossils. I use this to side light my handheld microscope instead of using the microscope's white light. Especially when it comes to fossils in the matrix. In the photo you can see a tiny fly that fell in amber (tree sap) thousands of years ago. The light was very helpful in giving a subtle glow that illuminates the amber without distorting it.
