The best download speed I've seen is 0.59 Mbps - yes zero-decimal-five-nine. It's terrible. Downloads the clock at 0.63 Mbps. I'm using a Verizon SIM card. Testing this card on a very old iPad, I get 56Mbps. It's almost 100 times faster. The?! GlobalMe is useless as a WiFi device with a SIM card. This terribly slow speed is not worth the small size of the device. I think I'll take an old iPad on a trip and use it as a hotspot, although I can't easily use it abroad and the iPad's battery sucks. Speed is more important. If I were GlobalMe I would be embarrassed and probably stop selling such a useless device.
