Fits my camper needs

I didn't have to call customer service. It's very easy to set up. I use this in my RV where the internet signal is usually weak, mostly no more than 3 bands. I use it when I do this review. The only complaint is that the connection simply dropped. I saw that I had about 3GB left, so it took me some time to discover the problem. A: My 1st month has expired. Burns dates faster than I can say "Will you marry me? "

When I used the data pack. I just searched the internet for ISPs for 5 minutes and it already burned 400 megabytes. With a normal ISP, I only burn 10-20 megabytes every 10-20 minutes. This company's packages are great, but their devices and services are designed to use them faster than I can use them. Maybe they make money from it, and it's awesome. As a consumer though, hell no. EDIT: I forgot to say that I strongly recommend using a home sim and not the virtual sim this company offers. Better

SLOW - Terribly SLOW

The best download speed I've seen is 0.59 Mbps - yes zero-decimal-five-nine. It's terrible. Downloads the clock at 0.63 Mbps. I'm using a Verizon SIM card. Testing this card on a very old iPad, I get 56Mbps. It's almost 100 times faster. The?! GlobalMe is useless as a WiFi device with a SIM card. This terribly slow speed is not worth the small size of the device. I think I'll take an old iPad on a trip and use it as a hotspot, although I can't easily use it abroad and the iPad's battery sucks…

Great WiFi hotspot for on the go!

This is an excellent choice for international travel. I've been using it in Asia and Australia since I bought it last month and there are reasonably priced SIM cards available locally. For example, I can get up to 5 days of 4G service with unlimited data for as little as $10 in Taiwan and less than $7 in Australia. The speed is 30Mbps down and 20Mbps which is a huge improvement over the 2G/3G speeds I get internationally through T-Mobile and cheaper than their international packages. Just…

Buyer beware. The product is useless and the support is not helpful at all.

Don't waste your money. It's unreliable until it just dies, and is best used as a paperweight or doorstop. I bought one of these for a longer trip abroad. He seemed to work for 1 week and then he died. Customer service was a joke. Her suggestion to fix this was to plug it in and leave it overnight. I was skeptical, but this proved me wrong. New update!

New UPDATE. Due to the pandemic, my employer is still forcing us to work remotely. I lost my internet yesterday. Electrics and cables were fine. G4 started and everything went fine. I couldn't use zoom (only 3 signal bands where I live) but I was able to surf the web and send emails with no problem. Radio streaming also turned on for a while. This device should work well at PSPS events. Updated July 21, 2020 Preview: I bought this as a backup hotspot for home use during PSPS and when traveling.

One SIM card slot, difficult to connect to AT&T

I've had this unit for about a month now. Unfortunately I haven't been able to use it while traveling, so this review is based solely on usage in downtown San Diego (ie excellent cell phone signal). First good news: I got a "virtual modem" to work with Glocalme North. US and international calling plans. I also have relatively fast 4G service with nano SIMs from Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T.
