Good product but hard and itchy

Product is ok. Cheap material, made from what I think are the cheapest sheets. My 2 year old squirms on it, itches I think. And just to be clear, my baby has no sensitivity to textures! Baby is coming soon and I hope the stiff fabric softens! I order Soft as a backup.
