I was using a different brand heater with a digital temperature display for my daughter's room and I always found it uncomfortable that the room temperature had to drop 2 degrees below the set/desired temperature before the heater would turn on and the heating will not stop until the temperature is 2 degrees above the set temperature. It's a 4 degree range which meant my child had to either cool down or warm up for a few minutes before the heating kicked in or stopped. After a short few months the thermostat seemed to be failing and it was time to find a replacement. I ordered this heater and was amazed by the fact that it can hold 1 temperature all night! I turned the heat on until the room was a comfortable temperature, then slowly turned the knob until the heat stopped and left it at that level. On a cold night, the heater turns on every few minutes and ideally maintains the desired temperature. No more "a bit cold, a bit hot" in the 4 degree range! Highly recommended.
