I've always been looking for a monopod. Prices range widely from aluminum to carbon fiber. There are monopods with legs and without legs. I personally think the legs add unnecessary weight. If you have a stable tripod it's not the same as having legs to set it on the ground, but the difference in weight is significant. The monopod comes with a hand strap that looks like a cheap compass. I've heard it doesn't work very well, but I've compared it to the compass on my iPhone and when you hold it on your finger, it's accurate. The strap is removable if you want to make it less bulky, although that doesn't make it bulky enough that you want to take it off. The monopod consists of 5 parts. At least for an aluminum monopod, the 5-section monopod tends to give a little when you open it all the way. This carbon tripod has no such problem. The thing is very durable. The leg comes with a retractable spike. I don't know what happens when you need to replace the rubber foot, but I've never heard anyone complain about their rubber foot wearing out. I think you'll have to use this every day for quite a while before it wears out. By the way, here are the specs: Model: P-326 Material: Carbon Fiber Sections: 6 Max Tube Diameter: 32mm/1.3 inch Min Tube Diameter: 16mm/0.6 inch Max Height: 1560mm/61.4 inch Inch Min. Height: 395mm / 15.6in Weight: 0.4kg / 0.9lb Load Capacity: 10kg / 22lb At 15.6" fully enclosed and weighing less than 1lb, this tripod meets all Requirements on my checklist I'm a bit looking for a ball head for travel or I could use it with a camera that attaches directly to the monopod, you have the option of a tilted ball head which gives you more control over the monopod , as it has only one arm and does not swivel. Also use a regular ball head if you can find one with only one lever. If you have many two levers, you will try to adjust the ball head and the monopod will become more difficult to handle .mentioned that newer models have a two piece e pull tab if you pull it out all the way. This makes it much easier to remove and reattach the monopod when you need to remove and clean the monopod. In addition, the neoprene handle of newer models is not firmly glued and has some play. Whether it's an older model or even a newer model when they reviewed it, this particular monopod I received has a one-piece tongue. The neoprene grip is a nice little touch. With aluminum monopods and tripods, this is useful when it's cold. For carbon fiber monopods, it holds the cold somewhat, but not as well as aluminum. Nice feature just in case. Unscrew rubber handles are very easy to use. You can easily grab them with your whole hand and twist them all at once. The carbon fiber legs move very easily. The only wish is that the monopod comes with a ball head. I understand that this increases the price. Considering the price and what this monopod has to offer, it's not difficult to buy one.
