Very high quality lightweight monopod.

I bought these for the shorter and lighter size and I am very satisfied. I already had a Manfrotto 679 monopod, which is very good, but it's at least 24 inches long while Sirui is 15 inches long, and of course it's lighter. I use both with a Manfrotto 3229 tilt head which I believe has been replaced with a newer model. The Manfrotto pod is faster with only three sections and gives very strong support when crossing a creek or so, but the Sirui is also very comfortable to use and lighter to carry

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Excellent value for money for camera and photo

I have a Sirui carbon fiber tripod and love it. So when it came time to replace my old monopod, I immediately turned my attention to Sirui products. This monopod is very light and the five-section legs make it quite short when compressed. They also allow greater variability in working length. Adding a head almost doubled the weight, but it's still a lot lighter than my old one. I've read other reviews that said the monopod wobbled a bit when all leg segments were fully extended and I found this

  • Everything great!

Educational story. I am a professional photographer who bought.

A cautionary tale. I'm a professional photographer who bought this through Revain a few years ago - presumably a reliable way to make such a purchase. Recently part of the gasket seemed to fall out at the very top preventing that part from being tightened. I asked Sirui USA about a seal replacement but was told they would not help me because the Revain supplier I bought them from was not one of their 'approved' sellers unbeknownst to me. Inexplicably, not only do they not cover this underโ€ฆ

Really small, very light - a bit short and unstable (for me)

Updated: Unfortunately I had to return this. At each intersection of the sections, the monopod will basically move from side to side or sway in some way; even if they are not fully stretched in every section. This made it quite unsuitable for any type of video or even slow shutter speeds as I never knew when a section would "shift". Unfortunately, I liked how small/light it is. This monopod is really compact and lightweight. The only side benefit of being compact is that it's slightly shorterโ€ฆ

High quality and very useful

I just got a very nice new Vanguard tripod but decided I needed a monopod for more flexible stabilization when shooting with my new Nikon P900 Superzoom. After reading many reviews I decided to try this one and it works great. This is a very high quality design that easily expands or closes down to a very small size. Nice foam grip on top and overall very nicely built and easy to use. I invested in carbon fiber because I wanted it to be light and it is. I have a Manfrotto 234 RC head so I canโ€ฆ

Excellent value for a carbon fiber monopod - could be better

In terms of value for money this is exceptional value compared to other monopods I considered before purchasing . The monopod looks very solid considering the weight. The latch/release mechanisms for extending the sections have a rubbery feel and are easy to grip. Sections slide in and out easily. I use a monopod with a tripod - together they add serious weight and feel. The monopod itself measures about 17 inches when fully folded. With the tripod ball attached, the overall length is about 20โ€ฆ

Best photo purchase I've made in a long time

I had a tremor and pretty much gave up photography 3 years ago because my shots were too blurry at regular ISOs. I was on a trip to Italy and just wanted to try a few things so I bought this monopod. It was the lightest and shortest (6 section) monopod I could find. It was well made and strong. It has a bottom tip that can be configured as a tip or soft rubber stand so you can prop it up on any surface. It has a clip that I was able to attach to the belt loop. Because it's so short, you canโ€ฆ

I fell in love! I left K20 for my dolly.

There is very little to say about monopods, so I'll be brief. I really didn't need another monopod and have never spent $100 on one. But as a longtime professional photographer, I have tried many products. I recently tried the SIRUI K 20 ball head and fell in love! I kept the K 20 for my Dollica monopod and ordered the K 30 ball head for the tripod. They (ball heads K 30 and K 20) are nothing but "Precision Sweet"! I was so impressed with this line of products that I decided to order the P-326.

Pros
  • Tripods and Monopods
Cons
  • Crumpled

I've always been looking for a monopod. Prices range widely from aluminum to carbon fiber. There are monopods with legs and without legs. I personally think the legs add unnecessary weight. If you have a stable tripod it's not the same as having legs to set it on the ground, but the difference in weight is significant. The monopod comes with a hand strap that looks like a cheap compass. I've heard it doesn't work very well, but I've compared it to the compass on my iPhone and when you hold itโ€ฆ
