I'm so thrilled that it works AND the setup isn't too bad (at least not for our TV). We have a Panasonic TV and the first manufacturer code suggested in the manual worked to turn it on and off. Installation: The instructions are quite simple, starting with setting up the manufacturer code. Locate the TV brand from the list in the manual. Use one of the codes provided and see if the TV turns on/off. If not, try another suggested code for your TV. Then you need to do the same for your cable box. For example, we have an AT&T U-verse. In the same manufacturer code list, you will see the cable box section. Find your carrier (e.g. AT&T) and follow the same instructions you followed to set your TV's manufacturer code. Finally, assign channels to each button, which is described in simple steps in the user manual.
