Review on 🎡 T12 MM MC Turntable Phono RIAA Preamp Preamplifier with built-in Headphone Amplifier by Debbie Black

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for the price, but don't expect perfection.

I recently bought this preamp for my Yamaha PF-800 turntable with a moving coil cartridge (which I pulled from a junkyard in the city junkyard) and was very pleased to get a preamp that can play the MC cartridge. Setup was easy, I hooked it up to my receiver and phono with no problems, but I did notice a hum in the MC settings that I couldn't get rid of. Maybe the floor doesn't work that well, I don't know. However, it becomes less noticeable when the music starts playing and when I rock the house with tunes I haven't played loud enough in years. It definitely transmits a signal for the receiver, and at a decent level. Just a hum is my only complaint. If you're looking for a cheap phono stage this is good value for money but don't expect perfection at this price point.
