This is the perfect little memorial for my little black boy who I recently lost after 11.5 years and 6 months to battling cancer. It's quite small - smaller than the tip of my thumb - but just the size I wanted. It doesn't look like a cremation decoration at all; it is rather harmless due to its size and the screw located on the back. The chain came in a nice box with a spare screw, funnel, pen and screwdriver, and a small polishing cloth. The container might be too small to fit a lot of ashes, but my boy's ashes were sealed and I didn't want to disturb him, so I used the needle that came with it to put some of his fur inside (another reviewer has this done and I thought it would be a great alternative idea). The pendant comes with an 18 inch cable chain, which I ended up replacing because I wanted something shorter and stronger. Overall I am very satisfied and can always carry a piece of my first companion with me.
