It seems that the "double shock absorbing rubber balls" are just for beauty. I couldn't see any other function. The seat cover may be durable, too early to tell. However, it is not "breathable" at all and creates a hot butt! It's a little better with the rain cover mounted. This seat might be a little more comfortable than the 30-year-old seat it replaced, but not by much. Delivery was quick and installation was easy. Update: Fixed and tried again. It's worse than my old apartment. Come on the donation pile. For a child this can be normal.
