The instructions are very simple and explain everything in detail, including how to care for the model. It was easy to set up, follow and complete. In fact, filling it with the supplied water basket is very easy and convenient. There's no hiss when it's on, and it seems to run for a very long time on the lowest settings. I only have two issues with this model and it could be more of a personal issue. I'm used to seeing water in a clear container or a water meter on the side of a humidifier. I'm also used to seeing a red LED on most humidifiers when they're empty. So on this model, the light ring should stay on to indicate that it's still on, even if it's just a very dull blue. At the moment it lights up at the lowest level and after about 3 seconds there is no backlight. From a distance it's hard to tell if it's off or needs water. When there is no water in it, the light ring should be solid red until you refill, clean, or turn it back on. Again, it turns itself off after 3 seconds I believe. I don't like constantly monitoring devices around the house and it would be great to look at them from afar to see if they need maintenance rather than going to see the lowest humidity setting in my area is that low. that the water vapor can hardly be seen on my white wall where I placed it.
