I really liked some of the readers I got with the blue light blocking feature but they were all fixed. I wanted a few pairs for indoor TV and reading, but then I didn't want the reader to be adapted for TV use or for general work outside the home. But it's nice to block blue light, and the original ones are soothing. Correction or bifocal ground is totally normal or normal, at least for me and my usage. BUT the usual uncorrected upper area seems to distort things and no cleaning with glass and cloth cleaners and other cloths other than those that come with the goggles seems to help remove what appears to be a film on the goggles that is the cause for the distortion is. I used soap and not warm water. I have used glass cleaner from my eye doctor and we have been using it for a good 20 years. I also had the glass cleaner from Bausch and Lome that we use for microscopes and I tried the cleaning cloths that came with the glasses and wondered if they were the problem so they washed and dried them too. And tried again. And I've used my favorite eyeglass cleaner which works great on all my other glasses and NOTHING, I mean NOTHING, gets rid of distortion or a gossamer finish that just feels smudged. Well yes, they have a yellow blocking material said to be built into the lens to block blue light and it's not non-reflective. In fact, they're much more reflective today, although my original blue light blocking readers were sold claiming they weren't reflective. I can live with it. My husband made fun of me, but he's from Mars and we all know it's a man thing they can't resist. So no, I don't recommend them. I had high expectations as I have not purchased any other blue blocking bifocals as they were all listed as progressive. I have specific and unusual vision problems that prevent me from using progressive lenses, which is why I was so happy when I found these bifocal lenses. For example I will use them in a sewing machine where I only use the bifocals for threading broken threads etc but for watching TV from across the room or peeking out the kitchen window to spot deer/wild turkey or the occasional other creature enjoy, no, this distortion is too annoying. On the computer, I prefer non-bifocal glasses to all readers. Unfortunately I would not buy again, otherwise I would definitely buy at least 2 more pairs. Next spring, after my next eye surgery, I will be talking to my glasses wearer about ordering a special pair of bifocal readers that also block blue light. I have to wait because they are talking about prism glasses to correct some of my conditions, but I can't do that until the post-op, which can last more than 5 months post-op, my condition worsens for that period. The medicated drops they put in my eyes actually make it worse when they usually help the most and still I have to take them longer and then they take a lot longer to get out of the system and your eye turns back to where it was. be at your best. I postponed this phase of the surgery this June after having surgery on my other eye because I just couldn't give up all summer and fall. But next year we want to start earlier and with a bit of luck I can ride in the middle or end of summer. So I want it to work.
