Good design makes it easy to use and durable. The handle turns well and the lid locks are easy to use and hold the lid securely. We had one and really liked it so we bought another one when it wore out. It took two or three years but we abused it by turning heavy things like lots of chopped tomatoes. With good care, it will serve you for many years. It seems like many different companies are selling the same spinner, so look for the best deal. I believe our first was from Zyliss, but this one is identical.
