I have been wearing a pair of work shoes that are simply too narrow for my wide feet., and it has resulted in my pinky toe getting pushed under the second small toe and forming a painful callus on its base. My pinky toe is turned such that the nail nearly faces out and the base of the toe faces the other toes. I purchased this product to prevent the overlapping of my toes and to hopefully straighten my pinky toe so it is no longer putting pressure on the callus. Unfortunately, I think this material is a bit too flexible for what I really need. It is great for separating the toes, but because it is so flexible and allows the toes to turn, it doesn't seem to do any actual straightening. I will continue to wear them to prevent overlapping, but I will likely need something more sturdy to properly straighten my pinky toe.
