An amazing helmet that requires a break in period

Just opened and tried! Here are a few brief notes followed by details. 1 - The reviews of the cheek pads are correct. They are very tight 2 - very quiet helmet 3 - visor great for low speeds not so good for high speeds 4 - fold down visor is great for toning but not as a windbreak 5 - internal wind channels keep the cap cool. 6 - the modular switch is a lever, not a button 7 - the vent and visor interfaces are smooth and intuitive 8 - all in all a great helmet for the price. Definitely recommend. Details: The first thing that struck me when I put the helmet on was how snug the cheek pads were. After riding for an hour, my cheeks/jaws hurt a bit from being so tight. However, all helmets require a break-in period. As soon as I wear the helmet more often, I find that the helmet fits my facial features and is more comfortable to wear. The helmet is much, much quieter than my previous helmet. There is a slight whistle from the passage of air through the ducts, but my Bluetooth system is also audible with. at highway speed. I was planning on removing the visor anyway but wanted to see how it would feel. At low speeds, it directs tons of air into the top vent and keeps your head very stable. Once you get over 45 mph it starts to catch the wind and make you dizzy. If you are traveling with a passenger, they will wear an industrial fan on their helmet. The visor channels air through the top vent and straight back. My passenger said he had trouble keeping his head up due to the airflow. With the visor removed, airflow through the top vent was still high at high speeds and slightly less at low speeds. Also, if you ride with the visor open or removed, the visor will cause additional gusts of wind to the sides and behind the lowered visor. As for the visor, I'm new to helmets with it so I'm not sure if they're all like that, but it doesn't work that well for wind protection. It's clearly better than without it, but even with the visor down, I still had a lot of wind on my back that dried out my contacts in just a few minutes. The tint is great for reducing glare without being too dark. However, if you like riding with your visor open, this is no substitute for a good pair of sunglasses. The wind tunnels integrated in the helmet direct the air around the head very well and keep the entire helmet pleasantly cool. I really like that the modular switch is pulled rather than pushed. In the event of an accident, there is a much lower chance of the button being pressed and the lid lifting.
