Bought two for 2nd Synology Diskstation. zero problems. Extensive SMART testing performed on both prior to first use using factory drive utility. Hard drives of this size take several days. So if you plan to do this, don't plan on using them right away. Both passed and already had the latest firmware. So far zero errors. Worked fine with 6 4TB Deskstar NAS drives. Two of them have been running for about two years, while the other four are joining the new 6TB drives. They are installed on my home NAS, which is used more than most people but is a far cry from a 24/7/365 enterprise setup. Absolutely no problem. Bought for reasonable price for size and features. I'll continue to stick with the DeskStar NAS line until I see the quality suffer (although vendor and manufacturer dates have changed to avoid risking a bad batch sacrificing enough drives to eliminate my redundancy.
