Turtle Wax claims the product will work for a range of shades within the stated colour. I've tried both their bright red and navy blue car products. This product was a bright red that claims to work with all shades of red. In fact, the product was bright red in color. When applied to a bright red car, scratches looked much worse as the contrast between the scratch and the paint was emphasized. The other navy blue Turtle Wax was more baby blue and did a terrible job on all the scratches on a navy blue car. As a general rule, if the color in the tube is different than the color on the car, unless you want to make things worse, you shouldn't use it. If the color matches the car's paint color exactly, it should work fine. Make sure you wear gloves and don't get on other surfaces. When you're done, use a good quality carnauba based wax and you'll love the result.
