The lunch box is connected by two Velcro straps on the front
It wasn't what I expected but actually pretty cool. The lunch box attaches to the front of the backpack with Velcro. You can wear it attached or alone. It's a good size for a junior high schooler, but there are no pockets inside the backpack (which would be great). All in all, it's absolutely worth the money. Great brand. Excellent quality.
