I have not emptied 1 spool and there is a lot of lint from this yarn in my machine. Polyester is indeed good for general sewing, but I didn't know about it until I bought it. If you need cotton, that's enough, just remember to clean the machine after each spool. I've had a few pauses sewing with this thread but this is all I have so I need to make it work.
