Review on Effortless Interior Rear View Mirror Repair: ABN Rearview Mirror Remover Tool - 2 Prong Steel Automotive Pry Tool by Michael Nastanovich

A few months ago we had the windshield replaced on our sister car Mercury Milan 2011 Ford Fusion. After that, the auto-dimming rear-view mirror dangled and dangled. The installer wanted nothing to do with it. This tool should help remove the inside rearview mirror on newer Ford/Mercury vehicles. Unfortunately it didn't work on our machine. The instrument was too narrow/thin and not properly curved. Luckily I was able to modify a thicker/wider plastic interior trim tool I already had and it worked to remove the mirror. The friction/locking clip in the mounting head was loosened with rivets. I pierced them with a small punch and it helped. I put the mirror back, it's nice and tight. I will keep this tool as it was inexpensive and might come in handy for future repairs.
