Improved Design - Seems to work well - Samsung 200 gallon capacity vs 300 gallon capacity

Took a risk despite some negative reviews. As you can see from the photos, they redesigned the product to be more in line with the original Samsung design. I'm glad they now have two rubber grommets to connect to and not one. I installed this on my Samsung RF28HMEDBSR fridge and it's been working pretty well so far (one day since I installed it). What I noticed is that the water flows faster through this filter and I think it has to do with the design. The filter seems to let more water into the filter at the tip than Samsung's original. I was a bit worried that the filtering process wasn't that efficient, but it seems ok. The Chicago area has a pretty strong smell of chlorine, but at least this filter gets rid of it. I couldn't find any information about the internal filtering process, so I don't know if they are the same or different. I was tempted to cut them in half to see how they differ. A little disappointed that it's rated for 200 gallons and not the 300 gallons that Samsung's filter claims (although both filters say they last 6 months?). You still manage to save money. The Samsung filter is $50 each (or $35 if you sign up). If you factor in reduced water filtration, the originals cost around $33 or $23 each. 3 for $40 is still slightly better. I hope this lasts and finally the filtering is good. I will update this if I run into any issues.
