It didn't work out - definitely NOT the whole region.
DVD inserted - took *minutes* to show up. It was a standard menu screen that I had *never* seen before for this movie that I had seen a billion times. The remote control opened only with difficulty, then no longer worked - press menu, press play, nothing! Click eject - it worked. Tried to get it to play using the buttons on the unit - no luck, nothing worked - except eject! To return.
