It took about 15 days for the rolled packaging to be completely rid of and really starting to work as it should. Now I feel very comfortable and my knees are very different from standing and working in my shop. I got this as a replacement for the same one that was 11 years old. It "wears really well". Excellent prices; excellent product. I was able to cut to the desired length and then bevel the edges myself with an orbital sander to remove some of the spongy material.
