When it arrives it will be VERY small compared to the plus size. Be prepared for expansion and such an amazing amount of plastic that the foam pads are tightly wrapped. In less than 20 minutes, the pads were fully expanded and ready for use. Despite being fully extended, they are softer than I expected from this type of pillow. I have another wedge pillow at home and ordered it to use at my house for the weekend and while it's good it's not that firm. like the other one, and for this type of pillow, at least for me, it's better to use a solid one. Although there are times when it comes in handy in bed, especially with the small rectangular size below, which is great for sitting in bed to read or use the computer. I've also had some success with a pillow under my knees. However, I'm surprised how often I buy it for watching TV on the sofa - and I've even used it on the floor for that. The covers are soft and have a somewhat crumpled velvet feel. I was impressed that this one had NO odor - something that hasn't always been my experience with compressed pillows and pillows of this type. The covers zip on and off making them easy to clean and most importantly, returning the covers was relatively easy given the 'crushy' nature of the pillow. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. The product works well, it's easy to clean, easy to stack and rearrange.
