Many people say there is no cable - it's (stored) in the battery compartment. I prefer to use batteries. This particular CD/cassette player drains the batteries VERY quickly. With my other players, the battery lasted a few weeks, with this one 5-7 days. The sound is good, discs and tapes play normally. The battery compartment was a bit difficult to open at first, but it gets easier every time. It says it will burn from CD to cassette, but I haven't tried that feature yet. I don't listen to the radio so I don't know how it works.
