I love these cords for my car because they roll up and it's so nice I don't have to worry about the cord hanging off my console. I bought the same cable from Marshalls about 5 years ago and it ONLY stopped working before I ordered this one, the wires must be in, the retractable part still works. So again I specifically looked for this brand of retractable cord thinking it would just be reliable. I had it for two weeks before the retractable part broke and won't retract. I didn't even use it every day because it was in my car. BAD quality, don't even bother.
