Great upgrade for those who have telephoto lenses in their kit. The build quality is solid, very light compared to other lenses of the same size. The picture quality is excellent. Very sharp and good contrast. Autofocus is mostly excellent, with the occasional glitch. The stabilization is also good. Unfortunately, my first experience with this lens was marred by the fact that I bought it new and it came with no box and just bubble wrap. I had to send it back and buy it from another store and it came new in the packaging.
