My previous iPad case was so heavy that I had problems with my hands if I held it for too long. So I was looking for something lightweight and settled on this item. This case is very light. The flip cover has fluffy flocking on the inside to protect the display. The plastic base that the iPad slides into feels solid and secure. On the back, the color is translucent, allowing the back of the iPad with the logo to be seen, in this case all blue. Sweet. I would buy it again. Here are the cons: I have a screen protector on my iPad. So when this lid is closed, it doesn't turn off the iPad. I understand because of the thickness of the protective glass? My solution is to disable the button on the screen when I close the case and keep playing the music or audiobook. However, the lid is magnetic enough to stay closed and not be opened. Also, the lid can only be folded down in 2 positions to tilt the iPad. I usually have it on my lap so it doesn't get in the way. I've had cases that had more angles and that helps. Overall I would say this is a simple, simple, beautiful and lightweight iPad case. He's doing his job.
