Not to be used as sole source for temp reading

Stopped working after about 5 months and I mean it started showing incorrect temp readings (about 20 degrees Fahrenheit!) reading what caused me to believe none of my heaters were working. and then turn on the heat to 90 degrees and slowly cook all my fish. I think I'll stick with the good old fancy thermometers, not this one.
