Excellent product. I have a fairly large home with a story of 5500 square feet. That means a lot of horizontal space. The home router wifi signal was depressing and just couldn't cover the entire house. Thought to try that. We ran Ethernet in the attic and placed a Unifi device in a central location on the ceiling. Now I have almost full signal throughout the house, including the backyard and garage, even to the mailbox. Internet is fast and stable on wireless devices. Couldn't be happier. We only needed one unit. It is designed for wall or ceiling mounting and looks like a smoke detector. It is very comfortable. For those worried about customization. It couldn't be simpler for basic home use. I just connected Unifi to my router, downloaded the Unifi installer from the website and ran the program. It was literally as easy as entering an ID and adding a password. Then set the admin user and transfer. That's all. For real. Ready. I just used the same SSID as my current router as all my devices are already configured to use it. Also the same password. Then I went into my router and turned off Wi-Fi so there was a signal in the house. All my devices connect to Unifi instantly with no issues. In fact, this device couldn't be easier to set up for basic use and the signal is very reliable. Please note that an "AC" version is available which can run at higher speeds but is more expensive. I get about 85Mbps on my wired computer and 50Mbps over WiFi with Unifi, which is more than enough for what we use our WiFi devices for. That's why I chose this one over the other. If you use your main PC without Wi-Fi or need maximum Wi-Fi speeds, consider the AC model. For us, these are just phones/tablets connected to Wi-Fi, everything else is hardwired.
