Review on Dimmable Linkind Halogen Equivalent Listed by Devin Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surprisingly good for the price. CRI appears to be better than the advertised value of >80.

I have installed dozens of these lamps in my apartment with 50w halogen bulbs. These LED bulbs are brighter and less amber. The color temperature seems suitable for general indoor use. In the bedroom you can use 2700K incandescent lamps for more warmth. But these lamps are also suitable for all other rooms. The CRI is specified by the manufacturer as "> 80" and that definitely seems to be correct. In fact, they compare very well to my 95 CRI bulbs. Colors look natural. I really doubt you have any reason to complain. I compared these lamps side by side, halogen lamps and lamps from three other manufacturers. These Linkid pears attract attention in a very positive way. Color balance is good, brightness is higher than others, beam angle is as advertised and they don't hum. They also black out well. They even dim well with a regular dimmer not specifically designed for LEDs. They gradually dimmed to a faint glow. There is no buzz. I have tested many dimmable LED bulbs and was surprised that they dim just as smoothly as incandescent bulbs. The only difference is that they don't change the color temperature as they dim like incandescent bulbs.

Pros
  • Smooth Dimming
Cons
  • Big and bulky
