I bought this filter because 1. I could get THREE for half the price of just ONE if I bought a genuine LG filter. 2. I thought it was worth trying and I can return the product if I don't like it. I received the filters within a few days of ordering. That in itself is unusual as I live in a very rural area. I've read instructions that are slightly different from the proprietary filter, but I think it's easier. After the filter was in place and running water through it for five minutes, I saw a huge difference. The taste was great, as was the lack of flavor, which is surprising, especially considering we're on the run now. That means cloudy water and a "unique" taste out of the tap. I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with these filters. I would recommend the deep fried one and I will definitely be buying more in the future.
