Review on 🔋 Solar Controller for Battery Tender - 5-45W Automatic by John Patterson

This works better than I expected and is exactly the quality I've come to expect from Battery Tender. I use this paired with a 50w solar panel to charge batteries in my boat. It says the solar panel max output is 45w but what they really mean is the max amperage is 3 which is listed on the back of the controller. I used a quick disconnect battery holder with a 3 amp fuse in the input just to be safe and I haven't had any blown fuses yet. Solar panels rarely work at their maximum, which is only the case under ideal conditions with very intense sun (e.g. at the equator). I can fully charge all batteries in 6-8 hours of full sun charging, so this works great to ensure my trolling motor batteries are ready to go the day before fishing.
