Bought this device in 2015 to take to clients and use at home. I like to always have all the options available to connect to any display style I might need on client sites for presentations. I have used it on many trips and it has never let me down. I also use the device every day on my laptop at home and when I travel it is always with me. It still works reliably even after more than 5 years of frequent plugging and unplugging. I can definitely recommend the device. I can't say anything about the picture quality. I've never had picture/picture quality issues, but I'm also not trying to use this for super high resolution pics/games/graphics, only for standard operational functions and communications on a ThinkPad laptop, so a definition doesn't make sense a noticeable lag, refresh rate, etc. that I can really talk about.
