I originally bought 2 of these because most aren't designed for long term continuous use and I've been rotating between them every 3 months. The second one I bought failed first; it lasted about 12 months exactly. The customer service department kindly offered a refund so I could just buy a replacement. I bought a replacement after receiving the receipt. The newly purchased unit didn't even last 3 months of use before it started to fail as the room cooled. I was forced to put the original (the first unit bought) back into service. That's when I noticed that it didn't cool the room anymore either. I contacted the company using the email address I had after the previous outage and received no response. Today I called a toll free number and got through to a person who was having a hard time understanding that I was being denied two. He kept referring to the oldest one and saying as it is not covered by the full warranty and only within the 5 year compressor warranty I need to get a technician to assess the unit and provide paperwork that the compressor has failed . . I asked him what the symptoms of a failed compressor were and he said it would stop refrigerating. I told him that he had actually stopped cooling down; what else does he need I then referred him to the latest unit to move him forward with the exchange/refund of that unit. Now it informs me that a device bought less than 4 months ago is now out of warranty. NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO CHOOSE IT AND YOUR MONEY IN A FEW MONTHS.
