I bought this to replace the OEM key fob on my 2007 FJC. I got the idea from someone in a Facebook form. He ordered and said it worked so I figured why not try it. There was a hole in my OEM key fob and I was afraid of losing it. Despite Amazon saying it won't fit in my truck, I decided to give it a try anyway given what I've read about other people's happiness. Got the key today, took it outside to my truck and googled how to program the FJ key fob. A simple YouTube video. When I found out that the key fob would work with my truck, I called the local locksmith to see if they could shorten my key and get the go-ahead. Go down there and he tells me there's a chip in that key and they need to program it into my car. I was a little confused as my other key was a spare. Long story short, he came back and said he didn't have to program it for the truck and all I had to pay for was to cut it out like my other key. super excited!
