Worked great on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

This key worked great on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. My model year does not have a chip key so there have been no problems. I programmed the key fob before cutting it just to make sure it would work. It took a few tries to do the hokey-pokey dance Toyota requires to get the car into programming mode, but that's not the key's fault. After the key fob was successfully programmed, I went to the local hardware store to have the key cut. The new key works great in all my doors and ignitions. My…

Works on FJ 2007! Good buy

I bought this to replace the OEM key fob on my 2007 FJC. I got the idea from someone in a Facebook form. He ordered and said it worked so I figured why not try it. There was a hole in my OEM key fob and I was afraid of losing it. Despite Amazon saying it won't fit in my truck, I decided to give it a try anyway given what I've read about other people's happiness. Got the key today, took it outside to my truck and googled how to program the FJ key fob. A simple YouTube video. When I found out…

works on a 2007 FJ Cruiser

I got it to work on a 2007 FJ Cruiser even though the description says it won't work. The order came with two keys, which cost about $49. I went to Wal-Mart and asked them to cut the key just like my OEM key and in my particular experience I didn't have to worry about the chip (it might be different if you have a different year) and wal -Mart did that. don't burden me (experience in other places may vary). After that I printed out a sheet from www.programyourremote.com and it gives you a few…

Worked amazing for a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Edit (06/02/2020): I've been using the key fob for a little over a year and the cover has fallen off. It broke right in the bolt hole. I didn't drop or hit him. Broke by itself. I might hold it back for now, but deduct a star. Edit (9/6/2019): Both buttons work great. However, I would like to point out two small inconveniences: 1. The panic alarm is triggered by simply pressing the panic button. You don't have to hold it like you would any other normal keychain. This is much more likely to lead

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Zero

All manufacturers do something like Simon to program the keys. These keys have a built in remote control and transponder programming is always required. So you program them twice. First I programmed the Remote Unlock/Lock (FOB). It worked well. You may have to try several times as the programming in your car may not be the latest version and timing is everything. If it didn't work out, most likely you missed it, or the car's time ran out a bit. Repeat, it might work - it took 3 times for either

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Security
