The set is small but very handy, the lids are comfortable. Despite being made from thin and light glass they appear to be exceptionally durable as the bowls arrived in perfect condition despite only being sent in the actual product packaging (not intended to be mailed) with a postal label and the bowls were included by a friend without spacers, glass on glass. So something has to be said about the excellent quality of these bowls! The lids are very strong but not very tight fitting. The only complaint I would deduct a star for is that the name "Duralex" is written on the convex glass on the inside of the bowls. So if you use a metal spoon in a bowl, for example, the metal will assert itself and grind the convex name Duralex. Why they didn't write the name on the outside of the shell is beyond odd. Due to the jar's peppy name, I don't use them much for mixing, and when I do I tend to use a wooden spoon. I keep leftovers in these and since we often soak beans and grains overnight these bowls are the perfect size for this and the lids keep out bugs that standing water can attract. Would buy again for durability and usefulness alone.
