I ordered this system to get a better view of the motorcycle trailer behind my Honda Element. I assumed it would be on all the time and the main purpose was to keep the bike safe during transport and to make it easier for me to secure it with a trailer, which I tried without a camera. The hardest part of the installation. Find a way to route the cables. I have a cigarette lighter socket on the back which makes it easier to find power. The flickering that others have mentioned is very easy to fix. There was a slight flicker with the engine off, and with the engine on the flicker made the image look like a bad wireless camera connection. I decided that the problem is in the soil. So I added a small sheet metal screw to one of the black wires and the flickering was gone. I connected the supplied cigarette lighter plug to the rear camera. To route the wires from the license plate holder I had to remove the snapping inner panel and the outer panel held in place with 6 screws and a couple of plastic clips. I pulled the wires into the spare tire compartment and pulled a new ground out there.
