When connecting directly to the PS5, the charger and fan will only work when the PS5 is in use. If you don't put your PS5 to sleep mode. You can plug it directly into an outlet, but then you'll have to keep turning the fan on and off. It's annoying to charge the remote while the PS5 is off. I suggest a separate remote charger and fan, not a combination.
