Review on Socrata Platform by Chris Cruz

I like that they have an open source platform, which allows us as developers/data scientists easy access of our own datasets without having any restrictions from their side about how we can use them or not (we are using R). They also provide free support if you need help while developing applications around this API! The only thing i dislike so far was when my application stopped working one day after publishing new version - no explanation given why exactly happened but luckily everything worked again few days later once fixed by developer team :) We're building some sort analytics dashboards at work mainly focused towards sales analysis purposes however there's nothing specific yet since still early stage development phase ;).
