Great for remote monitoring of systems

It was easy enought o configure it but I wish you could have more control over what gets collected (for example only collect errors from my app). The graphs are amazing! You can see things like how long someone has been working or if they went off their schedule too much last week etc - pretty cool stuff!! There's no clear instructions as far setting up your first dashboard goes so take some time looking around before just jumping right into production metrics :) We need something where we're…

Helps with troubleshooting and monitoring of infrastructure

We are using circonus for our log aggregation system which helps us aggregate logs from multiple servers into single place. This has helped me filter out unnecessary details from my server logging so I can focus more on other things while getting work done. It's pretty slow sometimes but not really noticeable as long as you have sufficient resources available. If you want quick results then this might be something worth considering however if your requirements are very heavy (e.g. need all the…

Very Useful Tool For Remote Access To Server Logs

The ability it gave us was great! It allowed me as an admin/supervisor (not IT) access into our servers logs without needing any special permissions or knowledge about how logging works - which I have none!! This made my life much easier than having someone who knows what they are doing log everything remotely from their phone all day long every week just so we can find out where issues arise later down when things break etc.. Simple to use. It's easy to set up alerts and get them out to the right people. The dashboards are easy to navigate. I like that you can customize what you want to see. There are some things that could be improved in terms of the UI. I would love if there were more options in terms of how often you wanted to refresh your dashboard. Also, it would be nice if we could have an option for when to send notifications. We use this software to monitor our servers and applications. It has been very…

Circonus is a good tool for monitoring and analyzing any number of different data streams from various sources.

Circonus is an excellent tool for monitoring and analyzing any number of different data streams from various sources. Unfortunately, this is where it stops being a great tool for me. While their pricing model is attractive (you get a discount if you purchase more than 2 months in advance), the actual cost is high and I would estimate $1,000/month to be fairly typical. For my use case, it was simply too expensive and required too much manual intervention to maintain a useful level of…

  • Very customizable and can easily integrate with existing monitoring systems
  • Great visualization capability - both for graphs as well as maps.

  • There are many configuration options - all of which seem unnecessary for my use case
  • Many features are buried within the settings
  • The UI seems pretty clunky and non-intuitive
