Great Product for Internal Data Stores

The scalability of marklogic is really unbeatable. Our application has increased by 4500GB's recently and with marklogic we have no problem at all in keeping up with this demand.marklogic has never failed us so far and i haven't seen any issues that might be of concern as well yet, but if you are going into large size databases then yes go ahead otherwise there will be performance problems when dealing large database sizes. I would say that our primary requirement was in terms of being able to…

Pros
  • Its scalable nature & ease of deployment make me love working for them! :)

MarkLogic Platform - Amazing tool for Business Intelligence

This is one of our favorite platforms because its very flexible in terms that you can do anything from CRUD operations through complex queries with ease! We're able solve any type problems we face by using this platform which makes us more productive as well since everything gets done within minutes rather than hours or days like other solutions would require time consuming tasks such has creating schemas etc.. I dislike nothing about marklogix so far although sometimes i feel there's not…

Pros
  • The best thing for me personally when it comes to working at work, marklogic allows quick development cycles hence saving much valuable resources especially if your team works fast paced environment where every minute counts while coding something new
Cons
  • Some problems

MarkLogic Server for Web Content Management

There are several features that I like as much about this product. This includes but is not limited too; multi-tenancy support which is very handy when you have large workload in our environment with lots of documents/documents stored across different databases or schema's. Also one thing worth mentioning is how easy, fast & efficient the overall system has proved to be over the past years we've been using it - We use marklogic mainly because one can easily integrate other systems into their…

Pros
  • Easy installation process.
  • Very good document handling capabilities for both relational data storage alongwith nonrelational ones also available here through MLCP framework.etc..for ease purposes,
  • Rich set of search functionalities including full text searching etc

Great product for building cross platform mobile and web solutions

I like how easily you can create different applications that will work together with one DB without having any problems or glitches at all - this is really important as an application developer / system integrator since we don't want our clients' systems down when something happens in their main database (or if they upgrade). We have been able use other databases before but never had such easy access nor support from them than MLL does so far! None yet :D However there are some features of…

Pros
  • Easy to integrate
  • Great Performance
  • Relational Querying Engine + Graph Analytics engine = great for data mining tasks :)
Cons
  • Some restrictions around creating new Apps, no scripted languages available
  • SQL compatibility limitations

Using marklogic together your existing environment

The MarkLogic is a great piece of software. I am able to manage and query all of the content within our organization and extract data to the cloud. MarkLogic runs well on the AWS cloud. There is a fair amount of configuration required to get up and running. The support team is also not as strong as some of the other platforms. You need to be able to understand some of the concepts before you can effectively use MarkLogic. I believe if you are comfortable with some level of coding, you may be…

Pros
  • Easy integration into Enterprise Java applications but requires custom code at times when it comes down integrating this technology directly through JAVA APIs like JDBC instead using native connectors from MARKLOGIC.Good architecture that does scale horizontally very easily by just adding more machines
Cons
  • Nothing here

We've had a number of apps written in PHP and Javascript, and after looking around, we decided on Marklogic for our new project. We got it installed on our server (the code was generated by us), and were ready to start building. The documentation is really good and easy to follow, and it doesn't take long to figure out how to do basic things like query databases. The database structure isn't intuitive, so if you're used to SQL databases, you'll have to think about things differently. The…

Pros
  • The documentation is pretty thorough and straightforward.
  • The installation and setup is relatively straight-forward, as far as installing on Windows.
Cons
  • There is a ton of functionality, but very little explanation
  • If you know SQL databases, you'll have to rethink everything.
  • Most developers don't want to work with Java.
