The hardware is fine, but the software has essentially stopped working. Admittedly, I bought a used Chromebook with little knowledge of the operating system to be able to attend telemedicine sessions while on the go as a therapist. (I already have a hefty desktop that I use every day.) Unfortunately, once a Chromebook is 5+ years old (sometimes even younger), it doesn't get updated anymore. Planned settlement up close. Without updates, you cannot update security or perform many functions in the browser. When I try to start a telemedicine session via SimplePractice, I get a notification to refresh my browser (which can't be done manually - done). Also, you cannot use streaming services other than YouTube. I was hoping that since it has HDMI it might also be a way to watch Hulu, Disney+ or Netflix on my TV. Not correct. They also do not work in older browsers. Basically I have a browser that doesn't support video and that's it.
